Best compromise as far as I am concerned is the Edition 30 interior... simply superb.

Well put  go DSG

If you like the DSG go for that.

leather seats can always be fitted after you've got the car, where as DSG can't.

like northerner says get xenon's if you can afford them, and if you can't afford them sell a kidney to pay for them

Retro fitting leather seats isn't hard, but you would have to retro fit the door panels to match, which someone on here said was a real pain.  :nerd:
2014 Mk7 GTI DSG 5dr in Carbon Grey, 18s, leather

Gone but not forgotten '07 Mk5 GTI DSG (2006 to 2014)

I second that.
It's a really successful and practical mix of leather and cloth. Doesn't look cheap.

Don't know what Tiff from Fifth Gear was talking about when he said the seats were awful.  Maybe he did not get any the previous night and was a bit upset..

I don't have either, but my mom just had a new EOS with leather and DSG, and I must say the DSG is very smooth and makes for a very relaxing drive (sitting on the M1 in the road works at Luton the other day, I kinda wished I'd opted for DSG!), on the other hand the leather looks the business, but its not the best quality and its not cheap at £1650 (IIRC).  Xenons are a must IMO!
