HELP! Radiator bust - Timing belt knackered

HI,  The radiator on my 8v has given up on the top left corner where the breather pipe(?) comes in.  I am ordering a new radiator from GSF and wondered if there are any gotchas or special tools required for changing the radiator over.  A few tips or pointers would be appreciated.

I need to keep the car on the road as its the GF's daily drive.

Just changed my rad a few weeks ago and the only thing I wasnt expecting was haveing to take the grill off in order to undo the bolts that hold the plastic pieces that are bolted to the front side of the rad, I'm guessing they just duct air into the rad as it comes through the grill. Apart from that and a few tight bolts its a straight forward swop

did my first one the other week and its pretty easy - only thing that was annoying was the bracket you unclip was rusted in so involved a bit of (hammer) persasion - other that easy job!

i did mine this weekend, peice or cake, did away with the plastic bits as they interfiered with my airfilter duct... other than that, all i would reccomend would be painting the fan cover thing that the fan bolts too... i gave it about 5 licks of hammerite along with a good scrub and brush down... looks soo much smarter in the bay now!

how much did you pay for your rad from gsf?

cheers guys, did it last night but found the gsf rad had the wrong gap on the bottom lugs/nipple things.  I have been and got another one this morning which has slightly different gaps so second try tonight.

The rad cost just short of £45 all in.

Had the alternator belt to change yesterday as well, which went well until I took off the timing belt cover to reveal a VERY tired timing belt.  I now have a timing belt kit in the boot of the car which I am going to attempt to fit tonight, again, any help appreciated.  I have printed the howto from the Bentley manual, fingers crossed it goes well.
