Oil temp thingy!

my mfa is displaying a blank for oil temp and was wondering what the official title for the sensor is and where to get one.
oh the car is a 90' 8v gti

correct me if im wrong but its the one to the left of the dizzy at the front and should have spade?? (my doesnt have spade just curved top and no wire)

sorry still learning the ropes on these cars.

mfa oil temp sensor, the one you are looking for has a white colar, some have a spade terminal sticking straight up, others have an odd looking 'top hat' connection.  Just FYI the MFA will be blank till the oil reaches 50 degrees :)
Edit: The oil temp wire is green, or green/black :)
