Beautiful looking car there

That is how to take photos of a car, gorgeous scenery and a gorgeous car.

Excellent choice

Much more distinctive than black

*Dons armour and waits for the backlash from Black GTI owners*

I've had two Mk5 black GTIs and another on the way - also black ... white looks fantastic and I prefer it to black in a way but I'm too much of a coward to actually go for it and get white.  :embarassed:  Might not be able to live with it in the long run.

It is VERY easy to live with it in the long run!  It looks ZZZUPER in white, I am soooooo glad I changed from black to white in the end! I see white cars more and more - SAAB, BMW, PORSCHE, saw a similar Ed30 the other day. Saw a gray Ed30 with black rims yesterday. Ed30s are very rare here still and all the drivers check each other out.  I got a wave and a smile from gray Ed30 driver, it felt great! In Ed30 you feel like you belong to some kind of club.

THe scenery in the mountains here is breath-taking. Norway is even more breath-taking. Drive to Flom and see for yourself.

THANK YOU ALL FOR REPLIES!!!  Appreciate it!

Now go for another drive, guys.

Oh, Vielen Dank!!!

(these images are heavily compressed, I have original 8mp versions if you need, shot with Canon EOS 350D.)

I prefer these ones myself:

Now I have also put the photos as background on the computers at work.
My boss brought me a bottle of bubbly last Friday, we celebrate Ed30 on Wednesday.

TT, it is great to see you back in the forum!!! Thank you for the praise.  Love my blond baby (I mean the car) more and more every day. Just came from France. GTI goes stready at the speed of X30 km/h (GPS reading). First number you fill in yourself.  :smug:

The Mk5 GTI is totally comfortable and feels solid and stable up to about 135 mph (GPS on German autobahns) and then she begins to feel a bit 'light' and is slow to gain anymore speed. She'll 'cruise' at 120 mph for as long as you want without feeling stressed or stretched. On one day I saw an average of 90 mph  .

Ed.30 has a bit more power higher up in the rev range, so at x30 km/h it was pulling nicely, and it would go faster, but I was afraid to push anymore.  :embarassed:
Imagine 330hp Oettinger conversion and a bit longer 6th gear - it would do 300kmh no problem.

....I hope you'll understand that I'm not trying to say my car is faster than yours etc when I say this, but: With the various performance mods on my car its performance is probably similar to a standard Ed30 and might even be faster (also depending on the driver!). But I don't want to start any "my pen!s is bigger than yours" stuff

didn't know you were talking about your red devil.  I can only tell what I felt - I was doing x30kmh by GPS (close to x70 on speedometer) and it was still pulling, but I stepped off the gas pedal.  :embarassed:
