Just a small question for you all...i have a 1997 16v and when i bought the car it had no GTI or 16v badge on the grille, what am i missing?Is it just the red 16v one or do i require the GTI one as well?

Yea you need the original Golf GTI badge with a small 16v, my car was missing these 2. they were selling them at inters i cant think who it was, but they are a big vw parts supiler.

got mine for the grill for just over a fiver, genuine VAG item too, you need red 16v for the front if its a 16v.

ok guys went to vw yesturday and purchased a brand new 16v badge and someone has given me a GTI badge, question is which way round do they go as there doesn't seem to be room for them both? Any body got a pic to help me out?Cheers

Went over it about 5 times in total with Red coloured t-cut and a polisher which my friend informed me I could get for a tenner for Aldi of all the places..
