just got my mk2 and got a few things im hoping you guys can help me with..

hi just started posted on the forum tops by the way...

anyways, just got my mk2 gti 5 door and have a few questions.

i need new rear door handles has they are sticking and one dosent work plus the boot lock is a bit sticky so wouldnt mind sorting that out either. any ideas on cost for replacements parts and how easy this will be to do?

rear door handles r a piece of p*** its just 2 screws, n it shudnt cost u ny mre then a tenner nt sure bout the boot tho, avnt played around wid tht yet.

with the door handles, get VAG ones, not eurocarpart or gsf one's! they are ultra poo! i made the mistake and now im having to replace them after 3 weeks...

the only place pretty much u can, a VAG dealership.. (VAG - Volkswagen Audi Group) So any local volkswagen dealer with a parts desk should be okies. if not, hunt around some scrappies, really easy to remove, 2 bolts and your away... if not, then fleabay, but make sure it states they are original or propper VAG ones...not poo ones.

mate, I have a pair of rear door handles going spare, genuine VAG, but used. £10+ postage for the pair. pm me if interested. I may have a boot mech as well but I'd have to dig it out.
