Hi,
If my info is correct, retro fitting the cc stalk and cable is not the issue. Actually enabling it on the car requires programming from VW. Does anyone know if this can done via Vagcom?, if so how?
My logic behind this (I know its only £150 to get it done by the dealer) is I can buy the stalk and cable for £60 and Vagcom for about £130. For that little bit extra I will have a copy of Vagcom which could prove useful to me as I dont have the Highline MFC.

Thanks

Yes it can be enabled with Vagcom, it was quite easy when I fitted cruise on my MK4.

Trouble is the MK5 uses 'long coding' which is different and despite much searching I cannot find the correct procedure anywhere. There are definitely people on other forums who know, but seem unwilling to spill the beans for what ever reason.

I also understand that some cars (eariler ones I think) also need a different control module fitted as well, but again no definite details are available.

Let us know if you find out the answers to these questions!
