Hi, i have a tachometer for my mk3 golf, I know the green wire usualy connects to the coil.. but how does it connect to the Electronic coil pack?? Or do i connect it to the Signal somwhere else?? If so where?

hehe im joking!
I found that the Bosh alternators have an Tach output but its not used on the golf. I connected it up to that... and sure enough i get a reading. but its WAYY out!! Im getting 300 RPM when im realdy doing 1000. ?!?! Any ideas??
