Read quite a bit on the S3 on here and online reviews. Like most cars, there's positive and negative comments. It comes down to personal choice i spose in the end.
Well, I have the R32 DSG at moment and am due to sell in October. Can i complain about the golf, well, only minor points really. Without going on (already done that) it is having the "noisy brakes when parking" fixed on Monday (new part available now for all golfs with the dreaded groaning) and the power steering which is shockingly "crap" when parking is also being fixed.
Yeh, it creaks also, but I fancy a change and after looking around, decided on the S3.
Wanted the RS4, but too pricey, the A4 has a new shape out soon and I previously had Subaru's, but their new shape is horrible. Tried a Lexus IS250 Sport, but after driving it, didnt like it.
The S3 I am getting is like this one:

It has all the extras pretty much except SatNav (prefer the tomtom for mobility) and I am fortunate to be able to get it Tax Free, as the cost is quite high really.
Well, I am happy with it, Ill miss the R32 though, the V6 growl, the refinement and smoothness, but there we are, have to move on and try something else. (can always go back to the R32 in future)
