Leather seat wearing

Took the car into the dealers to let them have a look at the drivers seat, the leather on the seat on the underside of the bolster near the door is wearing really badly.

I can't understand why, arms don't come into contact or seat belt. The only thing I can think is the seat is tilted quite often to let my daughter in the back and for some reason this is causing it to wear. Anyway dealer agreed and it is book in for the 31st July.

Anyone else had this??

how old is your car, and what sorta mileage has it done?

06 06 reg registered 31/05/06 with 11K on clock......

mine is doing similar, but the leathers no damaged, but the side bolster is showing a fold in it, but i doubt you would have any grounds to get it sorted under warranty. good luck if you do, and remember to pass on who did do it free so i'd give em mine aswell!

Yep, the cover is getting changed on the 31 July, covers on order now. Get on well with the lad in the local VW garage, just talk to him like you would expect to be spoken to yourself, they must get loads of grief on a dailey basis.

I wouldn't care since I have put some VW leather treatment on it doesnt look as bad, been using Gliptone...It needs doing because it will only get worse.

I think they have agreed to change it because it is such an strange place to wear, could have been a defect in the leather??
