Well the assessor came this morning, and actually asked me how much I thought it was worth He said he was going to have trouble valuing it because it was obviously in mint condition (before the crash), both inside and out, and for its age, so I quickly got in there and showed him the cars for sale in the Golf and PVW mags, and showed him my up to date FSH
He then said he was going to go home, and do some research on the net, so I pointed him in the direction of Clubgti classifieds, as I dont think theres any MK2's on there less than 2k   He said he would fax over his valuation to the office this afternoon...yayy
Anyway after me thinking my insurance on another GTI would by sky high, I have just rung my insurance co. who said that anything from H and before would be less than 300.00 FC
So I may not be selling anything after all

glad to hear you r ok. tho whiplash is a b!tch - i just recovering from that after a silly cow in a clio rear ended me last week. get one of those vibrating infra red heat lamp things - they really good for the pain. i borrowed my mate's and her husband walked in and said to my hubby 'why is your wife sat on my sofa using a vibro?'  i was using it on my neck tho, honest! thats men for u take care x
