« on: 17 February 2004, 10:54 »
Full inspection service ?60 labour, and you pay for whatever parts you want.
Cam Belt  ?80 labour plus cost of belt/tensioner.
Gearbox Oil change ?25 labour plus about ?15 for gearbox oil(synthetic).
Brake Fluid Change ?30 labour plus ?10 Brake Fluid.
Coolant Change ?25 labour plus ?10 coolant.

These are prices for a Mk3 8v GTi, prices may vary slightly (but not alot) for other golfs/audis.

I am at Bisley, Woking, Surrey.

If anyone requires my services then i'll be glad to help.

If I didn't live so far away - I'd pay for the cambelt to be changed (Glasgow to Surrey's quite a hike !!).

Fair prices though mate  :)

Hey VR6,

I live nr junction 18 of M25 - Woking's less than an hour away!!

At the mo, I'll get as much done as I can under the vw used-warranty, but anything outside this I could be persuaded to come to Woking!  Once I get hold of some new wheels and springs I need someone to fit 'em who knows what they're doing with golfs.

In the garage section, I've posted a query about starting when warm (i.e. it doesn't like to).  Any ideas what this is, & do you think VW will cover it under warranty??

I'm taking it to them next week to get central locking fixed under warranty and I was hoping they'd fix this for free too, but I'm worried they'll sting me a few bob for it.

I'd be happy to help you.
VW should fix any issues you have while you under warranty.
A popular problem with the mk4s is the coil packs.
Worth getting vw to have a look i think.
If you want the car lowered then let me know, i'm sure we can talk business.

Cheers ;D

I'm holding out for a bonus that I've been (kinda) promised at work, and my wifey's looking for a new job at the mo', but once get finances sorted, I'll be lowering and adding some better wheels.  Could be a few months, but watch this space. ;)

Hi
Got a MKIII VR6 and need a few things looked at.

ABS Light on (diags reported front sensor which was replaced but light still on)
Also would like the full service/inspection etc.
Cam Belt?

Am in Staines, so not a million miles away!

Cheers
