« on: 03 July 2007, 23:23 »
Wondering what to connect to the aux connector on the MFD2, anybody tried TV adaptor? rear camara?
Where does the camara fit ? How crap is the TV signal ?
Seen some dvd adaptors etc on ebay but would love to hear from anyone who's tried it.

current setup
MFD2 DVD chrome button model with IPOD adaptor retro fillted.

Thanks in advance,
Pabs

Been thinking about this for a while - The Doc has previously recommended Steel Mate products:

Hi Pabs,

As you know my head unit is different to yours, so I cannot comment about the aux port. However here are the photo's I took of the rear view camera. The first makes it look like it is huge, but the second from a distance shows exactly how discrete it actually is. The camera automatically activates when reverse is selected and deactivates when reverse is deselected.

Yeah,
Doesn't take much getting used to either. Reverse into the spot as normal and finish off looking at the reverse camera view on screen to guage the final distance. At night, or in low light conditions the camera automatically goes to black and white like a night vision camera, as it needs less light to function and still gives a good clear picture
Always hated those bleep bleep reverse sensors and could never fully get used to trusting them. With a camera, what you see is what you get!
