Hey all,

I've got a budget of about £1250 to spend on my standard 5dr 8v GTI, excluding wheels. 

i'm thinking of the following

Headunit
speakers
possibly Sub
polybushes all round,
tints
Exhaust system
strut brace
panel filter
HT leads
chip

bear in mind i'll be getting a shop to fit it (£45\hour)


suggestions?

those are about the only two i would change, as really, well tints are a bit poo, and a chip isn't really worth the investment on an 8v in my opinion.

sorry to hijsck slightly but what are pannel fillers and cams sorry.

panel filter is an uprated air filter.

cams - the cam shaft that controls the opening and closing of the inlet/exhaust valves in the engine head.

Ive got a sub and headunit for sale and possibly some BBS RM's.

In bedfordsh1te too


Not sure if HT leads make a big diffrence. Ive always used VAG ones. Others start to fall apart after 1 mile

I thought cams would be too pricey tbh. any ideas on rough prices?

might be intrested in the cams....

i'm thinking of some SSW Mesh 17" wheels in hyper black for the wheels, but thats in a seperate budget.

Just know the right places and do half the work myself.
