VW standards for warranty work?
« on: 28 June 2007, 18:00 »
Do you know if there's a VW standard maximum time you should have to wait to get your car seen to for warranty work? I've just tried to book it in, and the 1st appointment (with courtesy car) is 2 weeks! They could do me an earlier appointment with no car, and give me a car with no appointment for an earlier date(????!!!!!!), but 2 weeks seemed ridiculous, but he said that's the best I can do. And tried to charge me £10 for the car, but I told him there was no way I was paying that, so he backed down.

Try another dealer if you can.

yes 2nd that, try another dealer, never ever had to pay for a replacement car b4,or if you bought the car from them , have a quiet word with the salesman that sold u it,and see if he can sort something out, most of the time, the service desk dont know their arse from their ear

I think if no courtessy car is required, then it is up to 5 working days - and if a courtessy is required, then up to 10 working days is the VW "target".
