For those who maybe interested Alpine are releasing a canbus adapter for the MFSW in July. Finally I will be able to use the controls with my Alpine unit.

Have you got a picture of the head unit in place that you could post for us?

When I get my GTI, the first thing I'll be doing is uprating the stereo with with my new Pioneer Bluetooth HU or my older Alpine HU.

I've yet to see the dashboard at night, but the Pioneer has a blue glow with an LCD display and the Alpine has red text so I'm not sure which will go best!

Cheers.

....I already am able to use my MFSW with the Alpine DoubleDin SatNav/Audio touchscreen unit, and have been able to for several weeks. At least to be more accurate I am able to change sound volume up/down but nothing else.

What other actions are you expecting to be able to control?
