New GT TDi Owner!
« on: 26 June 2007, 13:34 »
Hello,

I'm new to the site, but also new to Golf and VW ownership!

I've just put a deposit down on a 2000 Golf GT TDi (yes I know it's old!)

I've been involved in turbo diesel tuning for 2 years now and managed to crack 140bhp from a 1.4 TDCi Fiesta :-)

Here are a couple of pics of my car that I am picking up on Friday - I can't wait!

and here's some of the fiesta im getting rid of

hi all. No - unfortunately my budget could only run to a GT TDI 110 bhp (non PD) however, it only has 50k miles on it and it like new - so thats all good!

I've been in the diesel tuning game for a while, like I said so I've big plans for it.

I'd ideally like to fit just some lowering springs and good dampers (don't fancy the coilover route again!) - any suggestions?

Also, do we know anyone who makes a front mount intercooler for one of these as opposed to the pathetic little side mount thing it's got at the moment!

Even in standard guise it actually goes alright, it's as quick as my fiesta was, if not quicker - and that was much lighter and had a little more power!

I was thinking about going for some Audi A8 wheels on it too - any other suggestions?

Thanks all,

JP

you'll want to check out allard
FM intercooler

they have got loads of stuff for the TDI's although it can get quite expensive, so depends how big your pockets are.

well i think you can easily re-map the 110 to 150 for under £500, and then a bigger intercooler and biggest turbo you can afford should see you easily going over 200, you'll probably want to change the clutch when you start adding stuff after the re-map though.
