Ok, new to my collection is a MK2 diesel that looks like a 8v. Purchased at the weekend to use as a daily runner due to escalating costs of fuel for the Rallye.

It is a red 5 door with GTi kit and a erm............ tow bar (that will be staying!).

Pictures will follow soon as I have already lent it out until the Clio is MOT'd and sold.

Have also put a new battery in, £95.00! Still, fires up first time now.

It has been in the repair centre for the last week due to the problems with the rear bearings. They were bodged by the previous owner so badly that the wheels we so close to coming off , not good with the little one in the car. End result, 2 new stub axles needed as they were badly damaged. I have also taken this opportunity to have the brakes overhauled. All should be well and getting her back tomorrow.

Next on the agender is a complete service with all belts being replaced. Need to also pop the speedo drive cog in, the pi55y little plastic thing.

Right, so the last few weekends have been usy. SOrted the belt change with the help of a friend, that was no problem. Next thing to change - the rad.

Ordered from German Swedish at a cos of 53 plus vat. Fitted myself (I have noidea when it comes to it). I acheived this to my pleasure. Problem - the pstic bit on the engine that connect the top hose from the rad to the block was fecked. Got a replacement and put it in. Leaks every where! Re done it and took the fuel rails off to gt to it properly. Took it for a test drive and pleased to say that I have sorted it, well chuffed.

Next on the menu is an oil change................................................

I have now been promoted at work and now work a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off so I will have plenty of time to get stuck in to this.

I have just purchased a small system for the old gal from egay. Will have this installed within the next few weeks.

Changed the back box as it was falling apart, got an 8v back box from Eurocarparts and fitted it last week. Had the help of a grinder and welder to make it fit. Looking good and it is very economical, £60 gets me a full tank and around 600 miles, sorted!

Pics to follow..............................

Ok, been quite on this for a while now. Collected a bonnet from Blue a while back and a few other bits. Then the next day the inner CV gave way!

All repaired and running scweet as a nut!
