Night Driving.
« on: 24 June 2007, 02:30 »
"Somewhere between 3 and 4am.
Night time.
The best time to drive. The air flows fresh and cool through your open window.
All lights seem green, the road is yours.

Night driving.
It's calm, it's effortless.
It's for the joy of driving. No rush. No need to be somewhere at a certain time.

Just feeling the road, the car, the enviroment.

Give yourself time. Indulge. Let every moment linger.

The music floats along,
Mirroring the rythmn of the engine.
Never thumping, never over powering.
Just softly underlining every passing tree, house and hedge,
And transforming your simple journey, into a beautiful film.

Slowly tiredness sets in.
You turn, ariving before the sun,
Leaving your golf,
Until another night,
A night perfect for night driving."

After being inspired by Golfs night driving advert I tried it myself, and love it. Something about night driving that I enjoy and am interested to see if anyone else night drives

VW have a great driving for those who don't understand

We came back last night at 3am from the beach. We had a great BBQ, some big-ass candles and some blankets!

Driving back from the beach between 2-3am was great, nothing on the road, no distractions, no pedestrians, just man and machine!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Its a very strange surreal feeling. Especially in the summer when the wind is warm
I'm so envious of you Rhyso going to Le Mans, i know someone that drove over with a corrado club, say's it was the best thing ever! mini gumball style race on the way over with gangs of supercars followed by 36 hour party with loads of friendly people
