Had a few little problems recently.

Yet another split hose

Dead Battery

Then the starter motor burnt out

Now I need new discs & pads, 2010 looks like it's gonna be expensive

The last year has been pretty slow on the mods front.

I fitted some EBC 312mm discs & Red Stuff pads, replaced the battery (again) after it froze in the winter.

Some little scrote went to town on my bonnet & drivers side with a key (CNUT!), so half the car needs a re-spary!

Hopefully now i've got my finances sorted I can get back to throwing money at my baby!

Oh I also had to replace the near side hub after the twit at my local garage over tightened the bolts securing the caliper carrier to it. The tosser managed to strip the thread from the inside of the hub. So that was a nice expense

It's been far, far, FAR too long since my baby has had any modification

However...... The modding beast has reawoken within me.

Plans for the next couple of months:

3" Exhaust with a 200 cell cat welded in (cause I cannot be bothered with messing around at MOT time)

K04 (or possibly a hybrid) plus all the additional requirements (injectors, MAF, fpr etc)

FMIC

& a visit to RTech to get everything mapped in

Lets hope nothing crops up to divert my finances (again)

Made the first steps in continuing the mods, getting a oil catch can from Wazzer & picking up some hoses to pipe up a FMIC on monday.

Two new tires on the back today.

I think my rear washer has sprung a leak. Found about an inch of windscreen washer fluid in the spare wheel well & the boot catch seems to have gone a nice rusty colour. So finding the cause is tomorrow's job.

If I can get hold of some red 3mm vac hose in the morning, ill do the n249 delete...

Finally got enough time to do some work (though not much ). Mostly maintenance & minor repairs. As some of you know I've been having some rough running issues recently that culminated with idling so low that it was on the verge of stalling & not generating sufficient vacuum to activate the brake servo

First things first, I whipped out the MAF & gave it a clean

Whilst the MAF was nicely soaking in some carb cleaner, I got on with some other bits:

I've been meaning to change the temp sensor for a while, as you can see it had the old black version fitted.

I can't remember the last time I cleaned the throttle body, so i figured that means its time to do it! As it turned out, I was right

It took quite a while to get all the gunk off, but eventually:

Got everything back together & ran it through several ignition cycles & went for a nice long test drive to allow the throttle to realign

I mentioned I thought I'd got a leak on my rear wiper, this is why:

Once I got the trim off; the extent of the problem became apparent:

As usual, the connector had a crack in it (not easy to see in this pic)

Quick repair & job done

I was planning on bypassing the n249 today, but I didn't have time , however I did one highly important job:

Nice new key case!

Got a couple of other bits to do but that's it for today, and the good news is....... The hesitation & rough running has gone
