Just bought 2007 MK.5 Gti - has anyone fitted a tailgate fitting cycle rack to a MK.5GTi?

Does it clash with the rear wiper? I know someone who got caught out with the auto function when reversing... (not a VW though)

If i remember right i fit it with the bottom feet resting on the bumper which mant the upper feet didn't rest on the window and hence no contact with the wiper.

Will find out next week when i go home. Although i'll probably use the polo as the missus and the wee fella use the gti most of the time

Any idea which model Hollywood rack - I am worried about damage to rear spoiler with weight of bikes, as it is only plastic?

My hollywood rack is 15 years old but i don't imagine they have changed that much

The spoiler does take a bit of the weight of the straps but thats why i rest the bottom on the bumper
