with the wonderful weather we are having my carpet is getting wet behind the drivers seat does anyone know where the water could be getting in cheers
a lad at works does the same and he now parks his facing downhill but to me this does seem like a very good cure also i park on the flat

window slot seals (is it 5dr)?

Mine use to flood in the passenger footwell, found out that the drain holes under the bonnet near the windscreen were well blocked with leaves un cr@p. poked un prodded, Tis fine now.

2002 TDI se 100bhp-ish Auto/tip Black Magic. :cool:

mine used to flood all the time, check the seal that runs along the top of the door as if this perishes it can lead to water getting in. maybe adjust the doors so it pushes tighter on the seal worked for me.

it is a 3 door and the seal that runs along the top of the door looks ok not checked drain holes yet
any other places these cars leak from cos i might as well check everythng at the same time

they can (and will) leak anywhere from the front of the firewall to the sunroof to the doors. make yourself some new door membranes from binbags and tape em up good

 they can also leak around the rear lamp gaskets and the water runs along the boot floor to the lowest point which is the rear floorpan.check inside boot for dampness,easy cure justytake out the lamps and squirt some silicone sealer around before re-fitting.good luck  :smiley:
