So pi**ed off. I was meant to drive off in my lovely candy white GTI in 20 mins time, but got call from dealer saying they have yet to recieve the V55 form, so i can't have the car taxed. Have been promised i will get it by Tuesday. So unhappy, hope no more bad news awaits then.

Hi Kev,

Bad luck with the V55 doc. Car will not disappoint

If you are after an aftermarket unit you could look at one of these

I have one in mine and it's superb.

Hurdy i'm not sure that is the right link? S3, did u mean to link me the Kenwood unit? How much it set u back? I like a unit that has bluetooth integrated so i don't have to mess around buying parrott or nokia kits.

Link is correct now :embarassed:

You can buy it with Bluetooth as an extra unit which integrates it with the head unit. You would have to check whether the Bluetooth unit is totally compatible though. There is a link on the site to tell you which are compatible.

Finally got the car. Happy but also sad to see my RX-8 go. GTI is much more comfy (RX-8 had lowered eibachs/koni dampers) and much more relaxed driving down b-roads. Poke on GTI is better than rx-8 but lack of rev range means frantic 1st and 2nd gear changes. ESP kicks in earlier than the rx-8.
Got some pics of the interior, rushed job so focus not exactly spot on, but i think the stalks are different.

I've also fitted a shorter aerial and forge adjustable short shift less than 40miles on car
