I've had a chat with my local dealer and they tell me that Volkswagen NL (I suppose it's PON...) has qualified the upgrades from Abt and sell them through the dutch VW dealers. (I'm a Brit based in NL). Specs are 240HP and 330NM, but pretty pricey at Euro 1450 inc fitted and vat. The price of keeping the factory warranty I suppose....

I may go for that. Anyone running an Abt remap? Anyone got a RR plot of an Abt mapping on a GTi V? Or just a marketing plot?

I investigated getting an Abt remap here in the UK but the support didn't impress me.

I would get something switchable so your VW dealer can service it in stock mode - Not to hide the remap but to avoid ECU problems when there's a VW ECU update. Revo, oettinger, are among the best imo. AmD used to be good but...

I think it's best to go gently - a Stage1 - and go to a tuner who gives good personal service and cares. Rolling Road the car again a few weeks later to check how it's settled. If you've got DSG, make sure the torque is limited to 300 ft lb max.
