Why did you get them from VW? If it were me i'd of stuck to a better brand for a chepaer price.

I had the car for its 1st major service, so thought bollox  to it, get them to do the lot,just had a cash downfall of my inheritance and moneys not object at the moment.But stupid me should of went elsewhere as i found a link from that my tyres website as to regards the nearest dealer of those tyres was, and it turns out its an old buddy of mine i used to work with and could of had a pair for the price 1 from VW!!!!, oh well  :sick:

Some info here;

Personally, I would have insisted on another couple of Bridgestones or replacing them with a well known brand such as Michelin, Pirelli, Dunlop, etc

Price does seem very steep - sure you could have done much better at a specialist tyre fitter.

You're right, TT ain't gonna be happy :angry:

Unfortunatley, they will aquaplane like a ba$tard when they get half worn.  It is a sad fact that directional tyres are OLD technology.  Even the mightly hailed Goodyear F1 is now an assymetric.

Oh, and Pirelli are even shyter (lethal, wheelspin in 4th gear, yes even with quattro, and just frightening in the rain) than the Dunlop SportMaxx.
