Phil I had new Hankook's on my TT when i fitted 18's, they were good all round tyre IMO, I only clocked up 10K on them before selling the car, so I can't comment on wear rates. but for the money £100 each they were ok, I think £147 is a bit steep though.

Some info here;

Personally, I would have insisted on another couple of Bridgestones or replacing them with a well known brand such as Michelin, Pirelli, Dunlop, etc

Price does seem very steep - sure you could have done much better at a specialist tyre fitter.

You're right, TT ain't gonna be happy :angry:

Hankook is a well known brand too has been going alot of years. I have used them for about 10 years (not the same tyre) on the mk1 GTI due to them on that car out gripping and giving better steering feel than the pirrelli's, toyo, Dunlops, michelin and many others i had tried.

Why did you get them from VW? If it were me i'd of stuck to a better brand for a chepaer price.

Phil I am sorry but didn't want to mention the price but maybe you have a cause to complain.

Are you sure about the specification of the tyre?

The nearest thing I can find are these:-

Edit:- oops if you go to their home page and look through there are some 18" ones
