if i take the oil filter off to change it for a new one, is oil going to come out?

if your changin the filter..why not drop your oil anyway :undecided:
also dont forget to put a bit of oil on the top of ur new filter before putting it on..

IT IS GOING TO PISS OUT SO DONT TOUCH IT until you drain the oil from the sump plug!!!!

Like Dinx said, why go to the trouble of a new filter without putting new oil in?

There will be a fair bit, not just a couple of drips. Get ready to catch it with a bucket!

jack ya car, put basin under the sump, take plug out, go make a cuppa, check all the oil is out,take filter off, put shiney new one on with a little oil around the seal,pour in new oil, lower car, listen to it say "thank you daddy"..whilst your being nice to it, new air filter, dizzy, rotor and plugs wud be welcomed too.. :wink:

Warm the engine up a bit first and it will come out easier/quicker too!

ive just had an oil change.....

hm, i think ill leave it for now, i`l put the new filter on next time
