theres only 1500? e30s being made? is that just in uk?  :undecided:

That is my understanding, the dealers I spoke to said 1500 just for the UK.
Allocation to dealers seems to be on how successful at selling VW's they are.
The stealer I got mine from said he had an allocation of 7. Another stealer said he had 2 allocated and a VW stealer in Bolton said he didn't have any allocation and couldn't guarentee he could get me one but I should still place an order with him and they would try (as if!).
There still seems to be a few up for sale, ebay etc.

I don't know guys. They said anniversary model, limited edition, but they are keep being produced, now the 2008 model is out...  :undecided:

the gti edition 30 is just one model is it not? wont go to 2008 surely?

ED 30 will be limited to 1500 i'm guessing.  it was the same with the MKIV, only 1800 produced - 900 petrol and 900 diesel.

VW start producing next year's model (or revision) around this time of year. so if you order a Golf now it will be classed as an 08 model

mines just going into production now..

i really just didnt know if it was 1500 in uk or everywhere (seamed unliky)
so we have settled on 1500 in the UK! and however many in other countrys?

What colour/spec etc did you go for Steve?
Mine was build week 21, I got it last week.

Make sure you get a free litre of oil in the boot when you pick it up. There wasn't one in mine but I asked and they gave me one in a leather bag with velcro on to keep in the boot.

ooh free oil? does it state it should come with it somewhere? if not i feel ill have a problem arguing it as their muppets at my dealer.

stealgray, xeons, arm rest, folding mirrors, highline

ok lol, so 1500 in uk. the car was release in other places like usa or canada was it not? how many were released there?
