It think it depends more on the mechanical condition and how well kept the engine and fuel sytem is realy.

if i pootle around/do motor journeys in my daily (digi) i get 40mpg.

When thrashed i see about 35.

Not bad for a 222k miler engine which hasnt been rebuilt...

dont forget though our MFAs are getting on 20 yrs old in a lot of cases!!

I don't think a semi will give the same results

Sorry, i should have been more specific in the first post. Does anyone have any official stats or magazine stats maybe?

I appreciate the replies, it's just like has already been said, a lot depends on the condition and if it is set-up properly. The difference between my set-up digi and rough digi is immense!!!

If I'm careful with my digi on the motorways I get 48-50mpgs (this is usually due to there constantly being roadworks/lots of traffic with 50 ot 60 mph limits!)

Normal longer journey would be about 42mpgs

Short journey/having fun would be 35mpgs

I think my digi runs very well, considering the mileage

brand new the digifant has the edge as its a more efficient manegment system, but there aint alot in it. But it all comes down to how well the car has been looked after!

I reckon these figures are a little conservative!
