hi does anyone know what tool is used to take the inner drive shaft bolts off and what size? i did a search but no luck

8mm spline drive I think matey NOT a torx however........
It is LIKE a 12 point torx bit

Draper do a full set of the heads- think Monza is right and it's the M8 bit. Just make sure that the head bolts are clear and that you can get the bit in- you don't want to end up having to gring them off like some arse did.... Not speaking from experience or anything....!!

hi still having a bit of trouble figuring out what the splined tool actually is. can the tool be brought from halfords?

Go to Halfords and ask for an "8mm 12 sided male splined socket" Heres what they look like..

Some branches of Halfords don't stock them (ie my local one!) but any decent motor factors will have it.

Hi you can buy a pline set however it is a fiddly job due to the length of it and getting to the driveshaft bolts.
This tool which we sell and only people that do on ebay makes the job very very easy.
sold well over 200 of them to gararges and veebub fans and always had excellent feedback.
Before we found these it took ages removing the bolts now its minutes.

tap it in with a hammer, then you know its not gonna round the bolt off.
