Just to add to the mix,

A friend who is a garda/policeman here advised me to keep the keys out of sight but down stairs so that the determined "Rob-to-Order" thief will find them and not arrive up to your bedroom with the f**king kettle demanding the keys at 4am.

If the f**ker can get though 2 locked doors and bypass the alarm without making any noise he should be stealing diamonds not motors.

I think the worst time to have a heart attack is during a game of charades. Especially if your teammates are bad guessers.

According to the instruction manual, the Bluefin handset can be used to immobilise your car - plug it in and it removes all the software so you can't start it! Can't say I've tried it yet and not sure how long it would take either... might not be very convenient for day to day use but if your parking your car up for any period of time it could be useful...just an idea!

A much easier, and cheaper way, is simply to remove the fuse for the fuel pump!

good idea TT, any chance of a "how to" guide, as I have no idea where that is?

I don't think it would be a clever idea for anyone to post a "how to" on a security tip!

I did think that when I posted, but then: a) how many tea leafs carry a spare fuse, and b) we are all honest law abiding folk here, and c) I will read the MFM.   :smug:

Actually, you'd be quite surprised.  The organised crims are well known to surf the net, looking for reg plates so they can ring stolen motors.
