engine run in
« on: 30 May 2007, 17:04 »
At about 25k miles I definitely feel the engine has loosened up..it just feels like it's revving more freely and much smoother through the gears....I never really noticed a difference like it on my last brand new car (an Impreza turbo) ...anyone else feel a difference in their engine after a period of time ?

Yup, all VAG motors seem to be like that.  Indeed, my old S4 with 25k on the clock seemed much looser than my current RS4 with 5½k on the clock!

No, my S4 seemed to "finish" running-in around 12k miles!  Only half the wait, then.
