HEY GUYS!!!

If you have expressed a preference to buy a VAG-COM lead then you need to look at the link below.

http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/thread/914176.aspx

It names and in some cases shames the people who have said they are interested in a lead and then either haven't responded or haven't realised and coughed up the dough yet.

There are at least 14 names that I recognise on the list from our forum that haven't given Barry the respect he deserves to even answer his PM's, e-mails etc. There are a couple of regulars that also visit the MKV's section who I am shocked at.

Barry has put in an awful lot of time and effort into getting this group buy arranged and I must say has done a fantastic job with it. It is a pity that some people are so easy at pressing their keyboard to say "count me in" and come the crunch cannot carry through their promise or have the courtesy to let Baz know that they aren't interested anymore. You guys know who you are and thanks to Baz, so do we!!

I paid up on Friday... was working 6am to 9pm for 13 days non-stop until last Friday so couldn't send the money till then.  Got to earn the money to pay for the Ed 30 somehow!

Well done Illyun. 15hr days for 13 days straight  you must be completely bugg3r3d!

Paid for the ED30 in 2 weeks then

shattered isn't the word... I didn't recognise myself in the mirror on sunday morning - I looked young again after 3 days off work

urm does your highline computer give you real time info at air temp, oil temp, air intake, fuel pressure, etc etc?? can you plot graphs etc of the information?

can it diagnose faults??

if it can do any of the above then don't bother with VAG COM.

If you're keeping your car for a while and want to avoid numerous trips to the dealers for diagnostics (start at around £60 i believe) then get VAG COM.

But you don't have long as the group buy is closing VERY SOON; only way to gurantee your payment makes it is to paypal the guy running it on this thread:

Stupid question but can you leave your car hooked up to the laptop/vagcom whilst driving it? For those obnoxious mis-fires etc :nerd:

Brilliant... I was beginning to think that he didn't have enough people on board and that it would take another 6 months or so to reach the required amount.

message from Uwe at Ross Tech

Remember the project triangle:   "Good, Fast, Cheap.   Pick any two."   You guys have picked Good and Cheap..;-)

From the first message in this thread:

"Shipment will be made 1-2 weeks after receipt of payment.   Transit time to the UK / Ireland is normally 2-3 working days."

According to Barry, payment is on the way -- I believe as of Friday.    If everything goes smoothly, we should have the money around the middle of this week.    I will confirm when we've received it.     So right now I figure they will be in Barry's hands around the end of the month.    After that, it's up to Barry how fast you guys get them.
