
Thats my install, Excuse the wires there gone now.
Basically that tach and shiftlight is a little to JDM for most people but i really like it. Connecting it was very easy. First found a place to mount it and do so. Secondly if yours is lit up like mine (most GOOD ones should, Just maybe not in 7 different colours like mine

) your gonna need a power supply for it, Now thinking logically your only gonna need the light at night , So why not tap into the power supply connected to the headlamp switch

Then comes the hard job of connecting it to the car, You should now have 2 wires left, One is a earth wire, and one connects the meter to the gearbox via the coil.
Connecting the earth is easy, Find a bit of metal and bolt it to it, The VW golf has plenty of them so just find one and bolt it on.
Connecting to the coil is slightly harder, You will want to connect it to the - (minus) connector on the coil, However unlike most cars VW golfs have 2 (DOH) so your gonna have to figure out which one to use (trial and error)
The VW coil has different connectors to the rest of the world as well (DOH number 2) and both - connectors will be in use, So using a splitter it is recomended that you tap into the cable.
Your gonna wanna some how get these wires through the bulkhead of the car, this is easy, there are plent of little grommits that you can use on the bulkhead, Just simply use one of those.
