Front Grill

Hi

Are the front Grills the same on small bumper and big bumper cars. E.g double lights, VW badge and red piping around the out side?

Mine has had a different one put on and I am not keen!

not sure. i have an original grill in my loft complete with spots, but i can't remember whether it has the red surround?

my now dead big bumper golf was 4 lamp and had red piping round the lights.

i have also modified my single lamp on my golf to have red piping, which i like!

The gti`s i think were the ones that had red striping, i have a mint condition red striped one for sale if you need one. Mine is on ebay under this user name. It really is a good one! £23 posted.

early GTI's had 7 slat grilles
later (90 spec) GTI's had 5 slate grilles

all had the 4 lamps,red stripe and a black badge

the issue with the grille thats on there at the moment is that the raised bit around the outside goes lower than on standard ones and doesnt line up properly with the continuation after the lights. Still better than before i think, and fine for what is only a temporary runaround anyway.
