NO, sorry they not gona fit!
I'm in the middle of refurbing a set from fleebay, same sizes but they came with tyres, which I'll have to double check when I get back but should be 195/45/R16 up front and 225/45/R16 out back and they are stretched. There is no problem up front, but the rears stick out about 6-7mm past the gti arches, so if you are lowered you are basically gonna be a paper weight
I've bought g60 arches and once I can get the wheels on the car will have the lips rolled and 'adjusted' as required, should be enough.
