Selling your Mk 2?
« on: 10 February 2004, 18:21 »
I've been trying to sell my Mk 2 for some time now, and NO takers.
What are people looking for now?
How much are they willing to pay?
Does any one like these cars anymore?
What do you have to do to sell them?

I have my car for sale..........at much cheapness, but not even a whimper.  So give us a clue as to whats best to pass it on.

I need some ideas, should I scrap it or continue to try and sell.

clean tidy, good runner.

The rest depends on what it is? Is it a GTi?

Yep it is a GTI.  Clean tidy,  good runner, had the brakes done, loads of history etc etc.  I even have a re-conditioned engine to give away with it.

pictures should help it sell im sure.

What is it? 8v, 16v?, alloys? electrics? colour? milage? any bad points? whats it come with? amount of previous owners?

If your car had full electrics, mint bodywork and interiour, average milage for a mk2 (in the 100k mark) you could probably squeeze more than ?1000 of someone, ohh and a good service history ::)

Ill give you a tenner right now :P

post it in the for sale section if you havnt. ;)

8v, alloys, electrics, colour - Black, milage - 141k, bad points - None whats it come with - all of the history that you could ask for, and all of the MOT certs.   amount of previous owners - 4

Car has full electrics but manual windows,  it has mint bodywork and interiour, "you could probably squeeze more than ?1000 of someone, ohh and a good service history"  Thanks for the offer but I think I'll have to decline that one. ;D
