Advice on new purchase
« on: 10 February 2004, 15:36 »
Need some feed back on this from you guys and girls ....

Bought a V reg 1.8 T end of Nov last year.  The guy I bought it off needed to get the service book stamped as it had just been serviced so it had a date but no stamp.

The money was exchanged and I took the car off him.  It's now 4 months later and I still havn't got the service book back.  Apparently his mate who worked at a VW garage was doing the servicing himself and stamping the book with the stamp from work.

I've just found out this morning that the guy at VW has been sacked from the VW garage but my head is up my backside and I dont know whether to phone the VW garage or go round and speak to the guy I bought the car off and have it out with him?

Any help / advice would be appreciated !?!

:-(

I would ask the guy you bought it from.
If he isn't helpful, then explain it to the garage.

(You probably still have his name and number of the guy you bought it from, if he is not helpfull - it might just mean he is hungry and wants you to order 20 pizzas to his house - and a rolypolygram) :)

...got the service book and it's been serviced by VW 3 times but when I've rung VW they have no record of this.

I think I need a trip to the VW and have it out with them !

.. let you know how it goes.
