Confused!

Went to my dealer today to see if i could get a quote on some Monza 18"'s. He said if were to order the 18" i would need to change the suspension so it can adapt to the 18"  Iv never heard of this before and im sure if he is speaking the truth or is he trying to rip me of? If im planning on lowering the car with the Eibach Pro Kit, would i really need to order a whole new set of suspension so i can put a pair 18's on the car? Any help would be appreciated lol and i know you guys know your stuff

sounds like he's talking a load of bull to be honest! why would the suspension differ from cars with 17' to 18' wheels!! 

go back to him and tell him what a plonker he is!!

Sounds like bollox and I bet cost cutting VW arent going to bother with two different suspension set ups on the production line!

All balls. See the brochure. GTi has sports suspension - nothing to do with the wheels.

It is complete and utter rubbish. If that's the kind of "expertise" that your dealer comes up with I'd hate to hear what other crap they come out with :-

  "Oh you need your oil changing sir, in that case you will need a new engine to put it in"

Or

  "The tyres you've chosen don't run well with the gearbox, so we'll have to change it for an upgrade"

Ignore their so called advice and order the 18" Monza's.
