Problems with Tickover
«

My Golf has just had new coil plugs, distributer, rota arm andHT leads and it is now running fine purring like a cat but when it is ticking over it will rev itself slightly and drop again like it is trying to find a level to tick over at.
Any ideas?

I had a similar problem with mine.. would shoot up to about 2500, then down to 1000 (nearly cut out!)
eventually i had a power failure to the ECU, had this replaced and all worked fine...May by worth a try.
