sad thing is a guy who used to work mith me had that as his screen saver!! He actually did like it! the Vandem Plas was best!!!  :laugh:

Heh heh I had one of those as a runabout back in '95 while I was looking for my first golf.
It was a 1977 in metallic gold, not a vanden plas though with the roller grille!!!
It was a great laugh and reasonably quick for a 1.3, I only drove it for about 3months but the big ends were already complaining!!!


You got any pics of your dad's split ?

I bought one from Maidstone car auctions many years ago, it was a time when I used to buy and sell cheap motors, I took it back a week later and made a lose of £30.00   :embarassed:

I wonder how well the burd has "aged" though??

As is, she looks quite $haggable, especially if she keeps the socks ON, but I bet she now needs some wet'n'dry, and a bit of P38 here and there!
