i would never risk installing something like a tom tom as the chances of a break in for a wa.ker to try nick it and damage the GTi, :sad:, just wish VW's sat nav was alot better!

Garmin Nüvi 660FM is better IMHO.

yes i know creepy, but all it takes is for someone to walk past even if your pulling up in it, thats enough for them to see you use one, and by then its too late, the car would become a target, so hense why i wouldnt want to risk it.If it gets left in a carpark multistory, your not exactly gonna walk round town with it under your arm , it would be left in the car or boot outa site, but to a thief, its any excuse to go looking for it and wreck the car finding it, and if they dont well , you saved your tom tom , but have smashed glass to repair. just my opinion matie  :wink:

That's fair enough Phil, I just don't like the idea of giving in to the scumbags, after all we wouldn't have anything nice in life if we thought like that about everything. I've been using the wife's for some time now, and you soon get into the habit of undocking it before you pull up. I'm also of the opinion that's why I pay large sums of insurance, for that piece of mind.  :smiley:
