But dont want this to escalate into pneumonia which it could well do going down that cold damp garage!
With you on that, I got some flu Germs in Germany last week only just feeling a bit better, Car will still be there next week even Mk3's dont rust away that quick :grin:

have found homes for most of the wiring, but am totally flumaxed with these!

You are correct in thinking those earth spades attach to the bracket which bolts on to the back edge of the head.

That bracket is for the earth to the coil.

That vacuum pipe goes to the pipe sticking out of the inlet manifold, in front of the throttle body.
