Looks very ........... er.............good.  :undecided:

On a serious note, shame about the finish but I'm sure you will sort it. Good effort trying to fab your own style bumper. Very impressed and well done for the amount of work you have put in so far. Sure it will look ace when finished, and I look forward to seeing it when finished.

So do I mate! Still not sure if I'm going to like it!

Didnt want to answer this in Wherry's thread

Oh same as me then!
Except I have to go to main stealer and the cans are tiny!

Won't Halfords mix up Mystic Blue then?
Looks like a nice mini project Wherry, going colour coded yeah? Not white. :p

Not gonna say whether I like em or not yet as I think they will actually suit this car! With the "smoothness".  Can't wait to see em on.

Yes but can you guarantee its the same as dealer bought paint!

Hard luck on the paint but I feel your pain.  Paint only likes the most perfect prep, did you wipe the surfaces down with any prep wipes or similar?...  The fabrication work looks great, be good to see the bumper in a single shot from a distance...

Oh and you know how you hate post whoring.............. Stop starting a new post for every reply then!

Oooooooh get you!

I only do it to use quotes coz I think it looks untidy if you do more than one quote in one post!
But hey I'm just fussy!

Well actually you should get your wish as I do need to get the bumper down and on the car for a trial fit!
Make sure none of the bits foul anything and I need to check the top gap as I think the top edge needs thickening!

Then I have to take the plunge and cut out and fit the foglight enclosures!

Just done a 15 page or so catch up on this!

Sweet work on the bumper, ignore people criticizing (unless in jest).. I think its awesome that your putting in the time doing something different and then adapting it to suit how YOU want it! Amazing work with the bumper, was slightly confused when I saw you using the plywood though, thought the only way of filling stuff like that was to do plastic welding, but that looks awesome using that as I guess it bends pretty easily into shape and then just a bit of filler over the top to give the exact shape? Either way, its wicked :)

How have you made the plywood stay in place where the indicators/fogs were? (If its filler as you did with the splitter, then cool, I didnt know it was that strong) :)

Have you thought about continuing the slat along the middle of the three holes in your bumper?

Think that'd look awesome.

+1 on this.

I still personally think you have no taste but flipping awesome work on the bumper in getting it to that! Motivating me to get on with mine!
