PAS Fluid
« on: 20 May 2007, 23:07 »
Hi all, I need to top up my PAS fluid but don't have a hand book, it's a '97 model. Someone has given me a new bottle of G004 000, (green stuff) and said it will be OK but I just thought I should check first? I can't find anything on the reservoir that says what it should be. Thanks

I don't have an owners manual and I only have Haynes for a Mk2 at the moment. Local stealer said use what is says on the cap, but it just says mineral oil, the res cap is green by the way and so is the fluid in there, but I know G002 000 is green also as used on late Mk2's. I just don't want to use G004 000 unless its safe. Thanks

Right the manual for my 97 16v says hydraulic oil G 002 000. so the one you have should be fine.
