Just bought an 8V GTI Anniversary and its got a problem with the ignition switch. Key turns to first click fine, battery and all lights fine, then when turning to start nothing happens (a small click if anything). Had AA out and they checked it over, tested the currents, managed to by-pass it and started engine. Apparantly there's no power feed to the starter motor, so think its something to do with the ignition switch.

Anyone else experienced this? ideas appreciated.

Vipes - cheers for that, imagined it would be something simple. Will source this tomorrow or get the garage to do it at least. Loving the car otherwise though!
