amp cable
« on: 20 May 2007, 00:11 »
wheres the best place to get the power cable from the bonnet to the back of the car? in my old fiesta there was a rubber bung which went right in behind the glovebox, perfect. anything like this on the golf?

the best way to do it man is to wire the power under the car and up into the boot  works a treat.
get ground off some nut in the boot somewhere.
hope this helps

ye under the car dude and up into the boot. if you run it through the car say for instance on the right side, that means you cant run anything on that side like you rca's video rca because of noise interearance. at least if u put it under the car you still have a wide range of routes to take your rca's and remote wire down the car without them being together causing interfeirance.
cant be bothered to correct spelling but hey

yeah see your point, but surely i could run the rca down the left no?
currently in my car i have power down left and rca down centre, the center probably wont b an option but the right should no?

im thinking the cable is going to get a bit shagged under the car on the outside!!?

ye but it depends on what awg cable ur using if ur using heavy powerplant cable thats a think as ur thumb best for under the car because u cant put that between ur trim and body of the inside of the car. if yous is pencil think then send it in the car ye right side is free then ok to use but remember to keep the rca's away from any power source. and get oxygen free cables! and gold heads!
