Electric door mirror
« on: 19 May 2007, 13:17 »
Hi all. I need some help replacing the door mirror on the drivers side. I've got the plastic cover off the inside and loosened off the three screws and pulled back the top of the door card a bit so I can pull the wire through but I can't get the connector to pull far enough through to unclip it (and to stop it falling into the door). Is there a trick way to get to the connector or have I got to take the whole so**ing door card off?  Thanks in advance J

I had to replace the door mirror on my bro's Mk3 recently after some scrotes stole the glass.

I had to take the who panel off, just to get proper access to the bottom screw of the 3.  Just take the card off it's not that big a job to be honest, bending the card back will only damage it and cause it to lose shape

That bottom screw was tricky, but fortunately wasn't tight. Door card off it is then........
