Cheers guys!

I had 'GolfVR6' change the rear discs and pads yesterday, was a very tidy job indeed. Helped by his svelt assistant 'Modulator'.

........slightly hampered by gale force winds and a stubborn bolt which took 2hrs to get free, in the end all was good again and ended with 'Modulator' giving us a demonstration of the official VW dance, of which I was rather dubious about and even more freaked out when VR6 joined in - nothing in the owners manual about that!?

Anyways, cheers and I'll be passing work your way next time.

That was the tightest bolt ever known to mankind and the dance has to to be performed to BS16098 standard.

" stupid dance performed in a public place whilst working on a motor vehicle"

Can do the caliper and maybe the manifold, i assume the exhaust manifold is blowing? is the manifold cracked?
I'm in Woking, Surrey. Where are you?
Best to get the back box done at a garage, shouldn't be too expensive.
