Mk3 16v - Whats it worth

Good morning everyone,

I'm toying with the idea of selling my '97 5 door diamond metallic black mk3 16v. 101k on the clock.

I'm only the 2nd owner from new, 1st (lady) owner bought it new and sold it to me sept '05 covering 72k and spared no expense, i've added 29k in just under two years mainly on the motorway.

Full service history, parts fitted in the past year are refurbished 16" BBS RX2 alloys with 4 good tyres, Weitec Hicon GT Coilovers, Water pump, New discs and pads all round, smoked front fogs/indicators, anniversary gear knob & i've got some pressed german plates on their way.

MOT Till Jan '08, tax till December '07.

It's also got a powerflow cat-back stainless exhaust with additional centre box to quieten it down a bit!

I've recently removed the plastic arches and side strips and replaced with cl ones.

Car comes with Sony CD player, (about a year old) air con (ice cold) remote central locking with two fobs.

There's a few little scrapes around the car, nothing major though. Overall Superb condition.

Loads of old service records, MOT's, bills etc.

I was thinking around the £2-2.5k mark mainly because of the S/H, desirable colour, wheels (worth £400 alone) and coilovers.

That one didn't have aircon... I think you can charge a small premium for mk3s that have a/c, must be a few hundred quid option anyhow.

Yes but it was only 90k miles! So one cancels the other.

Hey, just got back from car wash (too lazy) Polish guys loved my car, asked was it for sale (altho they prob ask most), he said worth about £3500 knowing it was a on a P-plate and saying it was a really f**king nice car.

Not sure if he noticed only 54400 miles and air con. What made it better was a 55 Plate silver Audi S3 on one side who only got a alright, how you doing, and a chavved up Saxo on the other side who got no remarks.

Just to say I was/am chuffed.

Just got your PM mate and its a lovely car, im actually off to go and look at a STD mk3 16v tomorrow. Its up for £2200 ono with sunroof and aircon. with FSH...... on 105k so very similar

Where are you located as i would be interested. Just a general area.... dont need a post code. Im near Newmarket.

I'm in Reading, 10 minutes off junction 11 of the M4.

Going to look at another car tomorrow so i will know more then when/if i'm selling.

As i said in my post it's got some quite nice mods which you may fancy doing at some point anyway.
